The technical meeting and drawing of the Men's and Women's RSSU Student Grandmaster Cup was held immediately after the Moscow Championship Superfinals. The tournament head arbiter, International Arbiter Andrzej Filipowicz, has suggested that the participants should choose the official pamphlets of the Moscow Open 2014, RSSU Cup. The booklet contained the starting numbers according to which the chess players (men and women) were placed in the tournament cross-table.

The first round pairings of the women's RSSU Student Grandmaster Cup: Dmitry Gordievsky (2451) - Vladimir  Belous (2569), Kamil Dragun (2517) - Zaven Andriasian (2621), Ulvi Bajarani (2504) - Andrey Stukopin (2523), Vitaliy Bernadskiy (2561) - Maksim Vavulin (2410), Vladislav Artemiev (2570) - Urii Eliseev (2549).

The pairs of the first round of the Cup among students (women) are Deimante Daulyte (2336) - Wang Jue (2396), Liza Soloviova (2308) - Anna Gvanceladze (2216), Varvara Saulina (2217)- Nafisa Muminova (2321), Lidia Tomnikova (2195) - Maria Severina (2211), Irina Vasilevich (2365) - Meri Arabidze (2374).

The games start Feb 9 at 16.00 and 11.00.
