The participants of the Moscow Open 2014, the RSSU Chess Cup tournaments have only two more rounds to play. The names of the winners will be announced the day after tomorrow. At the moment Alina Kashlinskaya is leading in the Women’s Premier Cup 2014. After six victories the Moscow chess player had a draw in her game against Anastasia Bodnaruk from St. Petersburg. Now she has 6.5 points. 11 athletes are 1 point behind the leader. Kashlinskaya will have to play with Olga Girya (Russia) in the eighth round of the competitions.

None of the players have managed to take lead in the Men’s Premier Cup. Nine chess players show the best results – 5.5 of  7 possible points. The rating favorite of the tournament, the current European Champion Alexander Moiseenko (Ukraine) is among them. Next round he will have to face Ildar Khairullin (Russia) at the first board. 

Russian Vladislav Artemiev and Vladimir Belous are struggling for the win in the Student Grandmaster Tournament. At the moment Artemiev with 6.5 of 7 possible points is at the first position. Belous is half a point behind the leader and occupies the second line of the chart. Another Russian participant Andrey Stukopin with 4.5 points is the third.

Grandmaster from Uzbekistan Nafisa Muminova has completed another step making her that much closer to the victory. After the victory over Anna Gvaceladze (Russia) in the seventh round she has 5.5 points. Wang Jue (China) is half a step behind her. Meri Arabidze (Georgia) is the third.

Five players are leading in the Senior Cup. These are Evgeny Sveshnikov (Latvia), Yuri Balashov, Arkadi Vul, International Grandmaster Nikolay Kalegin and FIDE Master Oleg Zilbert (all representing Russia).
Artem Sadovsky (Russia) with seven wins in a row is the sole leader of the Amateur Chess Tournament. Eight representatives with one point less are following him.

The games of the next to last, the 8th round of the competitions will be played on Saturday, February 8. The games will start at 16:00.
