Ten days passed as one moment—chess battles and firm handshakes, finding old friends among chess festival participants and making new ones. This year Russian State Social University has done its best to organize the championship such that each participant felt cared for and attended to.
Taking part at the prize winners’ award ceremony held on the evening of Feb 9 in the RSSU assembly hall were FIDE President, Mr. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov; Chairman of FIDE Competition Organizing Committee, Mr. Theodoros Tsorbatsoglou; Vice-Chairman of the Moscow Department of Physical Education and Sport, Mr. Alexey Pyzhov; Rector-founder of RSSU Mr. Vasily Zhukov; and President of Moscow Chess Federation Mr. Vladimir Palikhata.
When the closing ceremony concluded, all prize-winners and organizers had their group photo taken.
